At Cambium Tree Care Ltd, ongoing training is an important part of how we operate. We regularly carry out refresher courses to make sure our team stays up to date with current health and safety requirements, industry standards, and the latest techniques used across modern tree work.
This applies across all areas of our work, from tree surgery and tree felling through to more technical operations involving rigging, dismantling and controlled lowering.
Rigging Course & Practical Training
This week, we attended a dedicated rigging course to build on our existing knowledge and stay current with recent developments in equipment and working methods. With ongoing advancements in rigging systems and devices, it is important to understand not only how to use them, but how to use them correctly and safely.
The course covered the safe use of rigging equipment, including understanding safe working loads, selecting the correct equipment for each situation, and ensuring that loads are managed properly during dismantling operations. These are all key factors when carrying out tree removal work in more complex or confined environments.
Keeping Standards High
Training like this is not just about learning new techniques. It is also an opportunity to revisit the fundamentals and identify any bad habits or shortcuts that may have crept in over time. Regular refresher training helps ensure that work is carried out consistently, safely and to a high standard.
By continuing to invest in training and development, we are able to carry out work more efficiently, reduce risk, and ensure that every job runs as smoothly as possible for both our team and our clients.
